Here is some Monday inspiration to get the creative juices flowing.
Hugely Successful Press Campaign for the Cook Islands.
Cook Islands NEWS has set up a commercial printing arm to the business. They are the only printing company in the Cook Islands to have a four colour commercial offset printer.
They needed a campaign to launch the offering and generate sales. The media of choice was the Newspaper of course. We had full rain over the paper in term of placement and size, so we made the most it.
Fullpage Brand Ads were designed to show the advantages of printing locally vs getting your print overseas.
Tactical Ads were used to sell the specific products they could print. The products tell their own story –and we add extra meaning to them with the words we add.
Ambient Classified and Weather Ads are also running as a subtle way to continue the story about why CINews.Print are best. To our surprise these are having a huge response.
After the first day the campaign run they have been inundated with calls and new business and have secured one of biggest national brands printing contract. Watch this space for more of the campaign to roll out soon.
Eviction Notice Causes Media Frenzy
A cheeky marketing piece we designed for Generation Homes caused a bit of a stir upon its Hamilton launch. The media latched on to the furore surrounding the faux ‘eviction notices’– resulting in some great exposure for the Generation Brand. The story was featured in several popular newspapers – making its way to the front page of the Waikato Times.
Generation Homes state that they’ve received a lot of support from this campaign, and have been drumming up plenty of new business as a result. It’s always great when a calculated risk pays off.
We have been very thorough in the rollout of our new brand. Be in quick to sample our latest merchandise: Woods branded afghans. As you can see, Reuben’s son Keanu rates them very highly. Candy for the eyes and the belly.
Duncan and Dave Andrew from Generation Homes took time out of their busy schedule to follow little white balls around Te Puke Golf Course as part of the team “Ben’s Burglars”; in the process dominating the NZI Bay of Plenty Insurance Industry Golf Tournament for 2012.
Farmer Jones - The Great New Zealand Butchery have taken their service to the next level - opening their online shop including free delivery! Great work guys.
Check out their website for the best quality meat in town (delivered for free!)
It was a sad farewell to one of our favourite clients, who is leaving us to return to the US of A. On a positive note, she was rapt with the unique piece of Woods artwork we presented her with (unfortunately there were no Hallmark cards that captured the essence of our relationship).
Best of luck Amy - we know your presence will be greatly missed here and at the YMCA.
Woods had a memorable Christmas Do to finish the year on a high. It started with paintball - where the young ones’ strategy of applying dodgy face paint was not enough to outwit the 3 wise men, who sauntered to a convincing win.
Adrenalin levels only increased from there, with the highest commercially-rafted waterfall in the world waiting for the team at Hokere Falls. Capsizing while descending the waterfall wasn’t in the script - but no damage was done - except maybe a few sleepless nights suffered by certain crew members afterwards.
A great day was capped off with dinner at the stunning Drawing Room restaurant on Maunganui Road - where gifts were exchanged and memories from the year revisited. (See post below for The Drawing Room menus designed by Woods).
We have recently designed the menus, wine list and table sketchbooks for The Drawing Room - a boutique restaurant in downtown Mount Maunganui.
Inspired by cookbook literature, the menus are fitted inside old cookbooks. The wine list is appropriately designed as a book mark. A unique feature is the charming table sketchbook, where customers can leave behind a drawing of their experience at the restaurant.
